Surfing with Maxwell was created for my senior thesis at Boston University. Born of my love for comedy and unrealized acting career, this project served as my first attempt at sketch comedy. The video follows a cast of hapless hosts on public access television as they bumble their way through short segments. However, given that the video would only be viewed online, I interspersed a collection of fictitious pop-up advertisements to add to the vintage nostalgia. I handled every stage of the creation process from planning to production and served as writer, designer, actor, and editor.
